Her Hair!

I love it!
I also thoroughly enjoyed the dancing in this video.

Current Obsession:

Music for the Morning
{well - its morning to me at least. night shift - nuff said}

Current Obsession:
P!nk's new album The Truth About Love
I've always loved P!nk & her music - she's gotten me through some bad times and some good ones. I have to admit though - this album title boasts a hefty claim. The truth about love? I was hoping to gain some insight into the subject... I didn't.

Oh well.

2012 Hollywood Dance Recital

For those of you that follow me on Instagram - and/or are on my personal Facebook page - you've probably already seen all these photos from last weekend. If you haven't - you fail as a stalker.

For the select few of you who haven't seen them yet, this is my photographic memoir of my niece's annual Dance Recital with Hollywood Dance - which was this past weekend in Lake Elsinore, CA.

Enjoy...

My niece performed in 5 numbers this year. I only managed to get good pictures of 4 of the outfits - and a really bad on-stage picture of her outfit for her duet. We were a bit pressed for time during a costume change or two...

(Niece is on the left) They did an adorable little tap dance to "I Want Candy".

Here are their "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" outfits.

Cute!

And an on-stage shot of their dance:

For ballet, Niece and her class danced to an acoustic version of "Part of Your World" from The Little Mermaid.

Below is probably my favorite photo from the entire weekend. It was taken during dress rehearsal - and from the looks of it, Niece (left) is helping Carly (right) with her stage fright. In reality, she had her held down so she could get her attention and ask her a question. HA!

The cheer routine to "Girlfriend" was the only one Niece (second from the left) was nervous about. The Kid doesn't know the meaning of the word "stage fright" - but she was nervous about the lift she had to do in this routine. She had to hold Brooke (far right) up for about 5 seconds and she was scared to death she was going to drop her.

Note: she did not drop her. She held her steady through-out both performances and a dress rehearsal.

This was my favorite number of the entire show. They danced to "Tea Party" from the new Alice in Wonderland movie in the most adorable costumes EVER!

Here's a few miscellaneous candid shots from the weekend...

A Few of My Favorite Things... For Summer!

Ahhhhh I have summer fever right now.

Not that I enjoy the ridiculously hot Phoenix summers - oh no. Those are terrible. But I do love the fact that if I felt inclined to do so, the weather here allows me to go out and lounge in my pool all day everyday for months on end. Pretty much all the way from the beginning of April until the end of November. And luckily I have a hot tub that I can get in during the "winter" months. If you can really call 70 degrees "winter".

I felt like sharing with you some of my favorite summer finds this season. The things I love (or would love to have) on a nice day of relaxing...

I discovered this FABULOUS tea just yesterday - and between myself and the Senior Citizen, we've polished off one full half gallon already and have made a huge dent in the 2nd. It is AMAZING!

Boo for limited editions... BUT there are many other variety of white teas that I enjoy.

Like this one...

It's fabulous hot or iced. White teas are my favorite. They are the least processed of the teas and contain less caffeine that a cup of decaf coffee. So - not really for those who are seeking a caffeine jolt - but pretty much great for everything else.

We have a local coffee and tea shop here that sales my favorite white tea of all time. A coconut white tea. It's amazing. If you are ever in Glendale, AZ I highly recommends a visit to the Coffee and Tea Express in downtown Glendale.

Next up... nail polish! I'm feeling rather teal and pinky this year... Which really isn't anything new...

Here's two on my "must have!" list for this summer!

Simply GORGEOUS! Both of you!

And lastly - we have this...

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?

I could have been floating around in a lounge chair with a floating table too? I would never have to leave the pool! Well - except to pee... Because peeing in pools is gross... Big time summer no-no at my house.

Happy Summer my friends!

It's time for another episode of: I.NEED.IT.

I.NEED.IT.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Leave it to Paula Dean to bring to my attention a product that I'm going to have to start another personal savings account in order to purchase... *sigh*

Isn't she beautiful?

Thanks a lot Paula - you could've just sent me one as a gesture of niceness or something. I am a huge fan. Or hey - KitchenAid? I'd be an excellent product tester. I'm not Paula Dean (yet!) I already love you anyway - I will say many wonderful things... Unless what you send me totally sucks. Because I can't lie to my readers - not even for you and your pink stuff!

Everyone knows that if it comes in pink - I MUST OWN IT! I'm a huge fan of all KitchenAid appliances. Especially since so many of them come in pink! But seriously folks - I love the quality. My pink Cuisinart SPB-7 SmartPower 40-Ounce 7-Speed Electronic Bar Blenderhas been a life saver in helping me whip up my green smoothies. I don't need no stinkin' Vitamix!

I am now accepting donations for my I.NEED.IT fund - since I just had to buy a car I will be broke for the next 4 or so years...

WHAT?!?! I forgot to tell you I bought a new car?!?! Well - it's only the most fantastical car EVER! It's a 2012 Ford Focus and the color is EPIC. Though Mr. C says that the color isn't going to save me from the impact of another car hitting me at warp speed - he's so... practical... I think color is still ESSENTIAL! And he agrees that the car is safe. So win - win. But you know, if you don't look good - well, you might as well just curl up in a ball and hide.

Anyway - here's my new Precious!

Don't mind that sweet glare... Those are crappy iPhone pictures that I took myself. Here's some pictures I jacked from here to show you better details. These aren't pictures of my actual car - but it is pretty much identical. The car pictured even has a few less features than mine does - which means it must be the "Not As Awesome As Mine" model...
